Dealer only codes??

Im getting a CEL on my 4.7, lug it in and it says no codes. autozone guy says it could possibly be a code only the stealership can read. truck is shutting off randomly while im decellerating. like slowing down for a turn or backing out of a parking spot. possible IAC? or fuel pump?

It depends on how good their code reader is. Usually those cheaper ones aren't particularly great at it.

The dealer's tools are built specifically to find all codes. Off the shelf scanners do not have the ability to read secondary codes.
