Hello all. I am looking to get my next RAM 1500. I had a 2016 1500 Longhorn, but unfortunatley it lost a battle with a Mercedes SUV. I loved that truck.

I was suprised to find out that the only motor you can get is the 5.7 etourque. Which is a hybrid of somesort. They stopped offered a non-etourge version in 2023.

Anyways, i would preferr not to have a hybrid. Anybody have have issues with the etourque stup?

Welcome to the forum! There are quite a few threads where etorque is discussed. Basically people haven't had many issues with the system as far as failures go, but plenty of people have issues with having the system on their truck out of concern that it will be expensive to repair if something goes wrong with it. The other thing is now that 2025 models are being produced you can't order a 1500 with a V8 at all anymore. So you'll need to look for a 2024 or older if you want a V8.
