Good stuff. And IMO really should be discussed along with cylinder bore offsetting for more fun.

The wrist pin is offset on the majority of IC engines .Some engine builders claim there can be an advantage to doing the piston flop from bank to bank,so the wrist pin offset is opposite of normal. Engine masters did a show on it.

My uncle was a Chryco fanatic,and had pretty well every Direction Connection book/catalogue available back in the 70's and 80's,and the piston swap was promoted by the DC engineers even back then .With a big block Dodges long rod creating piston dwell and slower piston speeds,the swap is beneficial on them to gain some piston speed
