So I install the 93 HF tune back to the truck today. Something doesn't seem right. Before, the tune would hold the gears longer and I would be at about 1,600 rpm and 45mph. Now it's shifting into 6th while at 35 mph with an rpm of like 1,100. The tune just doesn't feel right for some reason.

That doesn't even sound right... Is that something you tuned in your self? I'm back home and things are going well.
Thank you all for the well wishes!

Try resetting the computer to start fresh.

I would return tuner to stock. Unplug your battery for two hours. Then reload the HF tune.
Remember, keep your door open while you load the tune, so everything shuts off when you turn the key to off. :)

You would be fine leaving the tune on and resetting if you choose. But it can't hurt to restore and reset

I'll give that a shot. I looked at the parameters in the tune and noticed that the throttle boost was set to 0%, but I remember Sean's email stated he set it to 0%. I think the whole issue with me hitting the OBD2 cord when putting the ebrake on may have done something. I hate to do another flash to the PCM, but I'd rather get the power and feel for the money I spent on this.

Bump up the throttle too, I have mine set to 10% but occasionally jump to 20%. That'll make a noticeable difference as well.

on the move..

Maybe we can piece your tune back together from ours? What are your other settings at ? We are all running the same mods.

I have no idea why it's set to 0. I restored the OB and will load the tunes back to the tuner today. I also removed the negative connector from the battery to let the computer reset. Hopefully this will fix it. But I'm still worried that when my foot caught the cord and pulled on the OBD2 port that could have caused some issue.

You've still got your original stock tune on your computer so you should be good.

Yeah I do. It just seemed a little odd to me that the reload of the 93 tune didn't perform the same as it did before.

This is quite the thread! Took 3 days to catch up haha

I am quite surprised in the range of opinions of HF tuning. Makes me leery of going this route. I see most of you guys have 2012+ but I was wondering how the 2010's responded to the HF tune. Also how does a tuner affect the warranty of the truck? Just curious.

All in all, it looks like most were very happy in the end, AFTER they got through the agony of installing, updating, re-updating, re-installing, etc.!
I for one, could not live without my Hemifever tune. :)

As far as warranty, just return the tune to stock before you take your car to dealer for any reason.
