Diesel exhaust system component theft

I wanted to know if modern diesel exhaust system components have the same theft risk as gas engine catalytic converter. What has been the experience of forum members ? I recently has an attempt to seal the cat on my gas vehicle. My 22 RAM 5500 is parked in the same place and is a lot easier to access under side. Do not know if there is a black market for components like SCR, DPF, Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) etc. ?

One of the local towns here had a bus yard which had over half the busses missing their filters one morning. But then again this is Canada for ya.

Diesels do have catalytic converters and they are just as likely to get stolen.
