Looks great. Will be interesting to see how it holds up. I used that vinyl / fabric paint on my glove box door because i replaced the tradesman cubby with a junkyard one that was brown. It has held up well.

Wow, looks awesome. Are you gonna do the pillars too? Be sure to update when you do the YouTube video I'd love to see it.

Looks awesome! What product did you use for this?
Colorbond Lvp finisher.. here is the difference between colorbond and duplicolor vynl and fabric in flat black... i will be using the duplicolor for my headliner but that is the only thing i will be using it for. The colorbond gives a nice oem black, duplicolor even though its a flat black its looks to glossy for me. colorbond.jpg

Why not rewrap the headliner with a black material instead of painting it?

its way easier to spray it black and it lasts just as long, dropping the headliner would be a nightmare!!! Especially with the sunroof. I'll send you a link to the youtube video after i do it so you can see how efficient it is.

Why are you using the dupi-color for the headliner over the colorbond?

Please post it when you’re done. I am going to change mine to all black interior as well. I talked to the guys down at the upholstery shop and they recommended re-wrapping it. They said you can’t get an even tone when you spray it.

Been wanting to do something like this for awhile but had no idea you could paint in place. Appreciate the pointers. I got the pillars and headliner from a local salvage yard. There were from a Rebel and you are correct a nightmare it was dealing with the headliner. Not so much getting it out but in was the problem. I used dupli color on my rear door pillars but wish i wouldve known about this stuff you used.

Sorry forgot to ask my questions,
How many cans and where did you purchase?
Did you use an adhesion promoter?
Were there any mistakes or tid bits i should know before diving in?

Again, appreciate the help.

I used a about a can. I purchased off of colorbonds website. the color code was like honda pilot black, i had it left over from an old project. No adhesion promotor needed, just used colorbonds prep solution and a maroon scotchbrite to scuff the surface. make sure you prep good. Its vynl so the colorbond bonds to it no need to worry about flaking or rubbing off. It is extremely durable.
