For anyone looking to add accessories to their 5th gen ram, try this direct to battery wireless control box. I've installed this on my 2025 Limited Longhorn to tackle some LED projects and it made things so easy. Originally I was looking at soluntions that either tapped into the fuse box, or were add in harnesses to the DRL's. I've never liked the micro2 taps, or adding anything to the fuse box for that matter, because if you do something wrong in there, then you introduce a whole set of potential electrical problems to your truck. The add-in harness that you can use off your DRL/Headlight connection are also problematic as they have a certain amperage draw that often triggers dash errors/alarms.

I came across this unit and it's like adding an entirely seperate fuse box direct to battery with a 100amp main fuse. I was a little leary about how well the remote control would work, but all the components are well built, and I had no issues controlling the various LED add ons. I know it lacks the convenience of being able to power things on with startup of the truck, but it also means you don't have to run things when the truck is running unless you want to. I've already tested the failsafe power down routing built into the system, so if you inadvertantly leave a LED strip/bar/pod on, it'll bring everything down to eliminate draw on the battery.
