Do new pickups ship with all their CPU chips?

I'm hearing a lot of people say their new Ford, Gms, whatever aren't shipping with all the chips and they have to wait to get the parts in months after their vehicles.

Any issue with HD rams?

There was a time last year? when some of the HD (diesel) trucks were shipping without a NOx sensor (or something in that circuit) but I'm pretty sure that has been resolved on the trucks shipping now.

With that said, Ram has taken the approach of limiting or removing options from the build completly to avoid shipping without something and installing it later. Some options are only available in the highest trim levels and may cause a delay in the build process.

Specked out a new truck this morning. Thats exactly what the dealer told me. Trucks w/options like adaptive cruise, lane assist etc. will take longer to get.

You don't want that stuff anyway.

Well ****, it looks like I'm in for a long wait. Oh well, in for a penny, in for a pound. If I can't get it like I want it, I'm willing to wait a bit longer. At least I have a VIN number. I waited a year, and 8 months and never got a VIN for a new Bronco. That's why I'm in for a new Ram. :)

Ah thanks.
I do remember when ordering there was something I couldn't get and it was based on supply. I guess...it's good that they dont let you order instead of getting a disabled vehicle.

I'm going to use a "My dealer said" story, and we know they are about as useless as a screen door in a submarine. I spoke with my sales guy today, and one of my questions was "do you see anything on my build sheet that would hold my build up". His answer......................"I don't know". I understand, like me..........you are quite surprised at that answer. lol

Good luck. If you place an order I hope it's filled in a reasonable amount of time.
