2019 Ram 2500 Tradesman back up camera issue " Camera not available " on screen. Reviewed all the posts on line . bought a new camera on Amazon . No help . Bought new tailgate camera cables from both MOPARonline parts and MoparpartsGiant. Neither fit the truck despite their verification it fit that exact VIN . Wrong wiring and wrong connectors . Had topay shipping and they did not accept returned parts ( our over $100) . The Camera coaxial cable using FAKRA connectors . However their are multiple configurations ( A thru Z) . Z is a universal connector . After a LOT of effort determined that the cable under the bed was bad . Amazon has plenty of FAKRA cables with male and female connectors ( look for Z) . The cables are readily available for small price ( $8 to $15) . used short cables with the camera to test the cables by checking camera function at each of the various FAKRA connectors between the camera in tailgate to the cab firewall. Performed all the fuze checks and system reboots outlined online with NO resolution .
there 4 to 5 sections of coaxial cable between the tailgate and the firewall . Performing continuity checks of the cables while installed is difficult hence the use of the Amazon cables . In the end used a 5 meter cable with male and female Farka connectors from Amazon for $12 to resolve . The Mopar parts cost like $60 per section and DID NOT properly FIT .
