Dodge ram towing mirrors

My dad has a 2012 ram 2500 and he does not like his tow mirrors. He wants the mirrors off my 2013 ram 1500. And I want his tow mirrors. Are these interchangeable between the two trucks. Thanks

No.

Your driver side mirror has the temperature sensor.

His tow mirrors do not. If you did swap them you would lose your temperature indicator.

If he has the chrome tow mirrors I have a set of regular chrome mirrors off my Laramie that will work on his 2012.

No he does not have the chrome trailer tow. He has the black ones. So if I put his on I will lose my temperature sensor I understand. So are you saying his will fit my truck and I will lose my temp sensor. Or they will not fit at all

Also can I put trailer tow mirrors on my 2013 at all. I really need a set as I tow a trailer a lot.

His should bolt right up and plug in yes. You will lose your temp and power fold obviously.

You need to get a set 13 plus trailer tow. They will be plug and play and temp sensor will work...no power fold. Tow mirrors don't power fold.

I don't know if the mirrors off your truck will fit his.

Overall it is a very easy swap...takes like 5 minutes a side once you know how to do it.

I talked to him and he said his truck shows the outside temperature also. He thinks they might be power adjust also. He's gonna check.

They moved the temp sensor to the mirror in 2013.

Look at your driver side mirror and then his...you will see what I am talking about.
