Does anyone else but me think there are way too many electronics in today's vehicles?

On my camera, the hitch disappears below the bottom of the frame probably 12" - 18" before it gets to the ball, so I still have to step out and check. And, since there are no lines on the camera screen it's an educated guess as to how close to lined-up I actually am. Although I've been towing for years and usually one check is all that's necessary.

On both my 18 and 22 2500's, the backup camera showed the hookup. Nothing disappeared in the ball/hitch area. The 22 has a center line imposed on the feed too, which makes it a bit easier yet.
