Door handle replacement

Hey all,

I've been reading the forum for a long time now, rarely post as I can usually find the answer but I have a question. I see people swapping out chrome door handles for body color or white, or even wrapping or painting them, but it looks to me on my 2010 Crew Cab SLT that the chrome piece should just pop off and then I could get a replacement piece- body color- and pop back in there. Am I wrong? If I am right does anyone know where I could get the piece? I have found the full door handle but not the insert.

I don't know anything about the chrome ones.

But if you want body color, just by a new black one and paint it body color.
