My 2020 Ram 1500 sets a brake when the door is open and I try to drive. I am a farmer and frequently back up to trailers. I'm used to making micro adjustments by looking out the door to move an inch or two to align the hitch. The rear cameras are not precise enough for the way do it. I want to do it my old way. My 2020 won't let me do that and it drives me crazy.
Does anyone know a way around this, legal or illegal?

I would like to know about this too as my Chrysler 300 puts itself into park with the doors open.

If you two-foot it - Keep the brake pedal slightly depressed while doing this - i believe that is what I’ve done.
That AutoPark thing is pretty annoying, though, isn’t it?

Pick up a seat belt extender. As long as that's plugged in the auto braking function is fooled into thinking you have your seat belt on. Mine looks like this, but there are many different designs. Just make sure you buy one specific for your vehicle...

Pick up old seat belt from wrecker and plug in when on the farm and remove before heading down the road
or two foot it as it just wants to know you are in control

I ordered this thing. Pretty cheap, but I don’t have it yet to know if it works.

Both of those will work. There's just something about that bottle opener that seems wrong...but I kind of want one LOL. But you'll need to remove either one of those devices in order to use your seat belt for normal driving. With the extender you can release the seat belt from the extender when removing the seat belt, leaving the extender plugged in all the time. No searching for it when you want to move the truck with the door open.

You can disable that feature. Click settings then down one arrow, then click brakes.
