Thinking about Moe’s DriveshaftPro simply for peace of mind considering the grenades on the R/T’s, and all the horror stories.

Not lowered and don’t race, however getting up 85mph on the highway does happen on occasion. Supposedly these shafts can come apart as low as 75mph.

Not finding a tremendous amount of options for less cost than Moe’s.

Do I suck it up and spend the $850 or is it even possible to find something decent for $500 or less?

There's a few other outfits building a driveshaft for the regular cab 2 wheel drive 8speed trucks, but they're as much or more as the one Matt/Moes is selling is my understanding.

I have this on the list for my RCSB, so far mine has been stable to 90 on a routine basis. I know I'm playing with fire, I just hope luck is with me for a few more months

Do you have a 2 door Ram with a Short Bed ?

I believe that only Standard Cab Rams w/ the Short Bed are the only ones with a drive shaft issue.

Those driveshafts can come apart at 110 MPH, when they are equipped with the 3.92 rear differential

Hey GT, yea I have one of the “unicorns”, 2017 R/T, RCSB 2WD, 3.92 with 8 sp.

I have not yet felt any vibrations or anything when going between 75-80, but I’d rather not chance it if possible.

Tracking, that’s what I’m gathering thus far. I’ll probably bite the bullet around bonus season next year, and just drive it “gingerly” until then lol

LOL
Driving across Texas in some places, like:

south of El Paso where the speed limit finally reaches 80 to Van Horn & then it gets worse when you turn onto the I-20 & the long boring drive to Odessa.
You can be driving at 90 & 100 mph & not even realize it
Between Van Horn & Odessa it is about 160 miles of nothing

( I always have to remember to check my Fuel level in Odessa & Van Horn
I don't like stopping at either of two stations between those towns.
the 2 Arabic stations up on those 2 hills, sometimes they don't have fuel, the bathrooms are always closed & there is always someone puking the food that they ate there )

Seriously! I’ve made that drive and have had other “across Texas” trips where the speed limit is 85. Though I’ll admit, long term this RT is intended for an around town toy, probably no long trips, but still I’ll probably do this driveshaft.

Also trying to decide if I want to spend the 295 for the Pedal Monster, just just spend another few hundred for a DS programmer.
