Am installing 3.55's next week and want to order a PML cover. Just need to make sure it will clear my Hellwig sway bar since I am dropped.

Any input on this? Or if there is a better option.

Jay

Clearance to the Hellwig is not a problem at all.
You DO need to watch the panhard bar and the 5th wheel, u-shaped part on the frame (see last pic).
I have the MagHytec and it's less than a 1/2" away from the panhard bar, but that's plenty. The PML is slightly lower profile than the MagHytec, so it should be fine. But measure it to be sure...
I did have to cut the 5th wheel frame mount, because it would have hit the diff cover for sure.

I cut it half off, the back half ofcourse. It's an easy cut with a sawzall or grinder and cutoff wheel. It's worth it in my opinion. The stock diff cover his hideous.

The time to do it is when the diff cover is coming off anyhow, because good gear oil isn't cheap (I have had the diff cover off 3 times in the last year, that's three gear oil changes:crazy:).

Btw, I run Redline gear oil it's already got the lsd additive premixed. That's as good a gear oil as money can buy. What are you planning on running?

Definitely need to pay attention to the 5th-wheel bracket. I was knocking my stock cover on that and have dented the upper lip on the cover with my 4/6. I've now got my PML pan to go onto it, just been waiting for some time to do it but it will definitely have clearance issues with the 1/2" deeper pan. I plan to cut the entire horn out, no sense in leaving half of it since it's not a main structural component.
