I've got a '95 Ram 1500 4x4. Every now and then I'll hit a rough patch and it will jump bad in the front to where it feels like it's gonna shake something loose. I've had two different mechanics check it, they don't see anything wrong. Put four new tires on it, didn't help. Swapped out the front hubs. Didn't help. Supposedly the shocks are ok. Steering doesn't seem to be particularly loose and I know what a bad steering box feels like. So even though the truck hasn't been driven roughly, the only other thing I can think is it's either worn coil springs or the shocks are bad even though they were supposedly checked. It was also suggested to me to try putting a dual steering stabilizer on it as I'm fixing to take it across state lines but I'm not very familiar with those. So what's the general consensus? Would that be beneficial or not? I can't afford to rebuild the entire front end at this time.

You might need more caster angle.

Is that a solid front axle ? If so, sounds like death wobble. Steering stabilizer would be a temporary band aid. Find a local Jeep club and ask some of them for an opinion. If your truck is IFS, it’s not death wobble but you still need to find a shop that specializes in front suspension issues.

A steering stabilizer is not a "fix" for anything, need to find the problem. What about the track bar, that's a very common cause for it.
