Easy fix for electronic throttle control/ABS/traction control warnings…

…at least in my case it was!

Got in my truck the other day and the dash lit up like a christmas tree. Service electronic throttle control, ABS issues, traction control issues, wouldnt rev over 2500 rpm, tranny wouldnt shift beyond 4th gear, and it shifted to 4th very quickly.

Turns out all of these issues were caused from a bad MAP sensor. Replaced it, cleared faults/codes and she drives like new again.

Obviously these codes could be related to other issues, but in my case thats all it was. A $26 part.

Just tossing this out there for anyone looking into these issues. My recommendation…dont even think about throwing parts at it until you get it scanned and a bit of diagnostic work done. It could be a lot of different things.

Had a similar condition with a code for the 3 way crossover valve - especially when it was humid or raining out.

Currently have the valve unplugged, as it runs perfect this way, but will search for a broken/shorted wire in the connected looms when time permits during the holidays.

These are all on the same network of wiring - for lack of a better term - that affects their operation when there is a short or failure.
