…at least in my case it was!
Got in my truck the other day and the dash lit up like a christmas tree. Service electronic throttle control, ABS issues, traction control issues, wouldnt rev over 2500 rpm, tranny wouldnt shift beyond 4th gear, and it shifted to 4th very quickly.
Turns out all of these issues were caused from a bad MAP sensor. Replaced it, cleared faults/codes and she drives like new again.
Obviously these codes could be related to other issues, but in my case thats all it was. A $26 part.
Just tossing this out there for anyone looking into these issues. My recommendation…dont even think about throwing parts at it until you get it scanned and a bit of diagnostic work done. It could be a lot of different things.
