Hello everyone. Does anybody know of a printed or online manual that is step by step for engine removal?

The truck is a 2012 qcsb 1500 4x4 with 5.7 engine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Why? Is your dealer still giving you static? Was fault found?

To say giving me static is a understatement. My truck has been at dealer for 4 wks now. They still have not torn it all the way down.

Tired of all the bs. I will just fix it myself. After all it is my fault for buying a ram.

Have you talked to Ram/Fiat/Chrysler customer care or just letting dealer **** you around?

Sometimes these dealerships are terrible for getting warranty work done. They want to sell you a vehicle then never see it again. Our local Ram dealer has lost a lot to other dealers because of their terrible service.

Yes I talked to customer care. No help at all. It is all related to the issue that I change my own oil. I turned in oil and filter receipts. The number of receipts match how many oil changes should have been done as per mileage. However, they say no way to prove mileage it was changed at.

Yep I still have the oil and filters sitting on my shelf. LOL

I am sick of being held hostage.

Get a lawyer. They have to prove it was oil related and you have receipts.

Seems easy I know. They want me to pay for motor tear down because my bumper to bumper warranty has expired (by 24 days) and it might not be covered under power train warranty.

They have to prove you didnt chage oil to deny warranty. The receipts have dates, mileage written down.

How do they prove mileage when changed at any service center? How do they prove oil was actually changed at a dealer? Do they give you the old oil back? Drain and fill while you watch?

They can't prove anything until the engine is torn down.

I agree. They say mileage would be on receipt if shop changed it not my little note book.

They want me to pay for motor to be torn down. They should do it for free if they really think I`m lying.

Why are you driving it with no oil pressure?

When it happened I shut it off and called tow truck. Three days later they changed the oil and said to pick it up there was no problem.

Second time (the same day I picked it up) I drove it back to them.

Since there was no problem. :)

Check my link. The FTC advises to contact state attorney general and FTC if you believe dealer or manufacturer is unfairly denying warranty claim

Oh ok. It is pretty standard procedure to get authorization for the repair and approval if it is not covered under warranty. But there are exceptions that can be made and with those low miles, I think they should have just covered it.

drittal thank you for your responses. I did check the link. To clear this up a little. I have not been approved or denied a warranty claim.

I cannot get that far until I pay for motor to be torn down. I am not paying the dealer for that. What is my warranty for?

No but this is not the dealer I bought the truck from. BTW this is the first issue with this truck.
