Exaust question

Ive been considering upgrading my exaust on my 2014 1500. Im just looking for something with a deep tone but not overally aggressive. I was thinking of going with flow masters american thunder i like the sounds in the videos i have seen. Anyone use these? How do they compare to the outlaw model? Is there really that big of a sound difference between the 2?

Also any others i should consider?

Gibson!

Flow master is over rated and really resonates into the cab. At least that was my impression when I drove one with it. Love the way Gibson sounds and performs.

Check Corsa, they're made to order. Thats what I may go with in the future.

I will never go with anything but Corsa. I have there DB catback system on myn. Very aggressive at idle and when on the gas. ZERO I mean zero drone, it sounds stock inside the cab when driving around.

Yea the corsas are pretty nice most of the clips ive heard of them they dont sound too low though

Yea thats nice! ive boon looking into the corsas a bit more and the sport model sounds pretty agressive on the outside its suprising that theres no cab drone with that.

But from what i found it looks like i cant buy the muffler only maybe i just havent found it yet but the majority of places only have the full cat back system for sale. I was hoping to just switch out the muffler

Yeah for me corsa didn't have the right sound and the price was way to high. This is the Gibson cat back system. Been beautiful and zero drone. Can't even tell when MDS kicks in.

I have the outlaw installed on mine along with a CAI. Sounds great but I don't think it's overly loud . There is engine drone , but it isn't bothersome to me at least . There is a lot of noise in the cab at times with the a/c on . Not sure if that's due to the CAI or not . I installed them together so I'm unable to make comparisons with the stock air intake . Hope that helps.

In my opinion, the price of the Corsa is worth it. They don't manufacture them and put them on the shelf to wait for someone to buy it. Its a very quality built product! I had a Corsa exhaust on my WRX and while everyone in that community was buying some tuner garbage exhaust, they all were asking about my exhaust because it sounded sick. I run American Racing long tube headers to Flowmasters on my Camaro for a classic muscle car sound, but the Corsa on my WRX just growled! It was mean, but smooth without a lot of raspy popping!

But.... to each his own!

Yea i like the sound on the corsa the more i listen to it. I like the raspyness and the low tone. The only thing is i just want to replace the muffler. I was hoping not to replace the whole cat-back system. I havent just found any corsa muffler that is sold without the full system

Check out a Spintech 9000. VERY aggressive but does not resonate in the cab as much ad a Flowmaster.

I think i just want to do a bolt on muffler exchance ive been looking at the 18" mufflex they use the magna flow muffler on theirs how do you guy think those compare to the flowmasters?

Also agree, I have the Gibson Cat-Back and it has a deep rich rumble when idling, and normal driving, but it does have an aggressive (not overly loud)tone when stomped on. I don't think your find a set up with one without the other.

Check out a Spintech 9000. VERY aggressive but does not resonate in the cab as much ad a Flowmaster.

Yea ive been looking at the spintech i like them alot the sound is almost comparable to the corsa at a fraction of the price which style did you get? Im leaning towards that now and what did you do for the install?

I bought an aluminum (wish I went with ss but $$) SI/DO Spintech 9000. My setup is just a direct muffler swap. I also have rear resonators deleted and 5" tips which helps a little bit too.

Yea im looking at the reg ss model. So i wont need extensions i know the spintech muffler is shorter than the stock. Do you happen to know if there is a big sound difference betwee.n the 9000 and the 6000 series

Sorry man idk if there is a difference. I'm sure someone with a Hemi is running the 6000 somewhere on the YouTube's.
