Has anyone had any dealings with "Concord Auto Protect" from King of Prussia, Pa. I've been on line looking for extended Warranty for my 2019 all new 1500. One of the companies that seems to be rated pretty good, on-line, is Concord. I called and talked to a sales person about their Premium Plan and it sounded pertty good, Has anyone used them or had experience with them?

Genuine manufacturers warranties are all I have ever purchased. Aftermarket warranties may not be accepted at dealers. That means you pay up front and then YOU deal with the aftermarket company to get reimbursed. And who knows if they'll be around in two or three years.

I'm eyeing this thread. My 2019 has 800 miles on it and I would love to see it stay here for 20 years and 200,800 miles! But a warranty for half of that would be nice!

Get MOPAR max max care warranty. Don't think the unlimited is available any longer, but I think there are 7 year warranties. They are (or were) bumper to bumper. Do a search on this forum for dealers selling them at a good price. I got mine from a dealer in Wisconsin. $2700 for Lifetime. Good nationwide.

Speaking from experience, I agree with Jus Cruisin about getting a genuine Mopar contract. I've had to deal with 3rd party contracts, and it's not worth any discount you MIGHT see. It's harder to find shops which can honor them, it's more difficult to get approvals, and if you sell your vehicle before the warranty is over, it can be near impossible to get a refund on any remaining balance you might be entitled to. Some of them are only around for a few years, then they might change their name or not even be in business anymore. Definitely find a Mopar contract.

amen, too many shady 3rd parties that their job is to say NO at coverage. At least with Mopar, any dealer will be able to assist.

FYI if your buying new or have in the last year.

Look into GEICO mechanical breakdown coverage.

Its pretty restrictive - has to be new purchase, never titled and under 1 year/12k...picks up after maker warranty runs out and will cover up to 7 year/100k I believe.

BUT cost is like $40 a half year. Compare that to a dealer contract where the equivelant us like $1500-2300 up front. It is available on most models - and for diesels its a bargain.

USAA used to offer it - but fairly certain they dropped the program.

I'd recommend being very cautious with non-FCA extended warranties as they have a plethora of disclaimers. The last time I had one it cost me big time for a new diesel injector pump which they claimed was trashed due to bad diesel yet the only dealer in town didn't have a single other truck with the same issue before or after mine. I recommend FCA, have them on my other trucks as do my adult children, and have never had an issue with a claim being denied. Granted, if you do serious mods then you take on the risk of a claim being denied.

This is the way I went on my purchase 4-16 of my 2019 Big Horn. I had a GM Platinum on my last truck but they let me down so I went with a Ram this time and hope I made the right choice with the Mopar Max Care.
