Has anybody with a MOPAR Extend Warranty gone for a 2nd one after 1st one expired?

Obviously, I'm not talking about the "For Life" Extended Warranties they quit selling. I had the 8 year / 100,000 mile warranty. I can't even find what I paid for the damn thing, but it did have only a $100 deductible per claim.

I received a solicitation from them to extend again for 3 years / 160,000 miles @ various deductible amounts and pricing. Anyone tried this? My truck has only 60,000 miles so it'd be 100,000 miles for 3 years for me.

Any experiences welcome!

I was always a never extended warranty guy on just about everything. The price of repairs lately, it will probably pay for itself. I might extend mine in a few years if they offer it.

I found my expiring warranty sales contract - sales information is nowhere on the actual warranty itself, which I keep in the truck.

In March 2020, I paid $2,240 for an 8 year or 100,000 mile extended warranty with $100 deductible per claim. Start date is from date truck was placed in-service, not the date of extended warranty sale. For me, this warranty covered 5 more years than original factory 3 year warranty. I currently have 60,000 miles on the truck.

MOPAR's unsolicited extra extended warranty is for 3 years and 160,000 odometer miles. Pricing for the same comprehensive level I have is $221 per month for 36 months = $7,956.

wtaf is this? Gouging for dummies because they can't multiple numbers?

Well yeah, I pretty much get that - the point of this is supposedly this is the corporate warranty entity now, today.

Further evidence Sergio and Carlos buried Chrysler.

MOPAR followed up their postal mail card with an email to me with a link to the same wonderful "offer" - another extended warranty for SIX TIMES the price of my expiring one.

I wrote the guy back and said you've got to be kidding. He wrote back apologizing by stating the offer was "system generated".

WTF?! The guy sends an email and feigns no responsibility for what he sent? "System generated" = "the executives told me I have to send this to you". What a coward for arrogant European Executives. I got fired for not obeying those assholes. At least I have some self-dignity in my less than stellar forced retirement.

Anyway, for any of you guys that see this with a current non-lifetime extended warranty, watch out for this scam!

The y-year warranty on my 2018 3500 is expiring and I've been offered to extend it by 4-years / 48k miles w/ $100 deductible for $4,234 and w/ pretty decent coverage. Truck was bought new, 6.7L diesel Tradesman with manual G56 trans. Truck currently has 70k miles, so I put on approx 10k miles per year. Like my other trucks, I plan to keep it until hell freezes over. The truck has been great, only one minor issue with coolant level. I'm in So Cal so no real negative weather influence. I'm going to see if there is any negotiating room. Is it worth approx $90/month?
