Good morning all!

My wheel flares aren't 'falling off' but the two way tape is coming unstuck in certain spots and I know it's a common problem.

I was wondering if anybody has found a good solution for this without removing and re-taping the entire flare? Maybe a glue or seam sealer of some sort that can be used to stick them back down?

I don't want to use the wrong product and screw things up worse.

TIA

Maybe crazy glue on a toothpick?
If you're careful that might work, but it's a permanent solution.

And use 3M tape while you’re at it. Had to reattach one on my previous Ram about 5 years ago and it’s still holding firm.

Do you have a part number or particular size/type 3m tape you used?

Did you get the truck under oiled ever? I recently got mine Krown rust proofed and noticed a couple spots that were coming apart I believe the krown is most likely the culprit from accidental overspray

Just in case if you ever do decide to take them off, just go to your local parts store, get you some of that good ole half inch wide, red-backed, 3M double sided tape and just re-stick them.

Absolutely agree with what Bowers said, when I re did mine, picked up some 3m tape from napa, used a heat gun to pull the remaining tape from the flares off , cleaning/prep is the most important thing then when I re-installed something I did that seemed to help I had a 6ft 2x6 that I rested up against the flare to apply pressure, which seemed to help seal overnight,
Do not use crazy glue, some of that stuff has chemicals that will eat away at your paint.
This is what the roll looks like of 3m tape 59669fe2768fcc040f79c566eaab016e.jpg

I used flex glue and you can just pick it off if ya had to. I pinched the end tube flat and ever so lightly pulled flare where it was pulling off and applied the glue, wipe any extra and tape shut. Worked great for me, only had a few spots to do this on.
