factory grille inserts 1500 vs. 2500 ????

Does anyone know if the grille inserts from a 4th gen 2500 will fit a 4th gen 1500? Just the 2 inserts, not the grille itself. Thx!

Don't see why not... most all parts interior/exterior are interchangeable.

You would have to cross reference part numbers.. The 2500 grills are bigger, but I don't know about the inserts.

I would "guess" no, they won't fit.

What part is bigger? I see them every day and they look the same size to me, maybe if they have the bug guard.

Well, long story short. My cousin just bought a new 2016 2500 with all the blacked out goodies on it. He wants to get aftermarket inserts for grille. I have a 1500 sport and would love to get the shiny black honeycomb inserts from his new rig. Problem is he lives across the country and won't be home until easter time. I just thought maybe someone had possibly interchanged them and knew for sure.

Driving around without a grille isnt too bad. Do a swap via the mail.

The 2500 is bigger...inserts as well plus not even the same shape...look at the bottom of both and you will see.

This guy is wrong. Do it.

Technically, he inst wrong, but since they are larger you can cut them down to fit easily.

I'm trying to trade black honey comb inserts for the chrome horizontal ones FYI. I already have the black ones boxed up to ship.

I recently bought a 2013 ram sport but the previous owner must have had an aftermarket bumper and replaced it with a bumper off a 2500. Now I'm left with a gap between the grill and the bumper and was wondering if anyone knows if the 2500 grill will fit or is the hood on the sport different from the 2500? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

I bought a '15 1500 Laramie grill off eBay, popped out the inserts. Swapped the inserts in about 45 minutes. My '14 Express now has a Sport grill. And I have a SLT grill listed to sell on eBay.
