OK, so our Ohio winters have trashed the crappy powdercoat finish on my N-Fabs ... Got a crazy good deal on a new set of black factory steps on Ebay from a dealership in TX ... Question ? ... How hard/easy is it to remove the pladtic end caps and the rubber pads ??? I want to have the metal tubes painted outside, and as much of the inside as we can reach on the inside, to give me the best chance at lasting ... I screwed the pooch a couple times tryin to take stuff apart, so I thought I’d ask first this time ... Thanks

OK ... UPS just delivered my steps from the Lonestar State ... And it looks like a lil screw on the bottom holds the endcaps on ... Thought the step pads would be rubber, but they are plastic ... Still not sure how easy the pads will come off without breakin lil tabs off ... Anybody with any experience takin em off ?

I actually don’t like the factory steps. Mine appear loose. Although all the bolts are tight there is movement.

Got a picture of the steps?

Are they wheel to wheel CC steps with one long pass and a short pad on each side? If so I have a new set of step pads and end caps in my attic from my last truck.

Must not be the same ... Just measured and both pads are 24” long ... More to the point tho, how did you get the pads off the steps ?

Like the bed rail caps, they're pretty much ruined getting them off. You will most likely need to order replacements. Contact forum vendor AllmoparParts (Benny) to see if he can track down the PNs
