im going to look into creating my own filter, it looks like this aftermarket one just slaps on top of the cowl.

I think a foam filter of some sort would filter out some material. Tomorrow im going to lay dryer sheets on top of the cowl vents and see if I can smell freshness

I never noticed any dirt or odors in my 03 or my 07. Is this something you guys are getting?

Not too bad, but when I recently had to take apart my hvac unit you wouldnt believe the amount of dirt and leaves I found clogging the evaporator... thats really the main reason I would want one

Its not a huge issue, but recently I had some debris in my blower. Which caused several month long headaches until I realized what it was.

The other thing that wants me to get a filter is seeing all the 4th gen people talking about their filter. One guy only had a few thousand miles on his filter and it was black!

If I pull the dash off my truck and look into the a/c vents, they are all dusty and stuff. I almost want to clean the ducts with something.

I've been using that filter from geno's garage for over a year. It looks kind of cheesey and cheap but it does work!
