So we finally got enough snow for me to play. I spent about 2 hours driving around all over the place drifting corners. It was a blast, especially after I turned TC off. The only downside is I was supposed to send Sean a couple logs of 0-80mph runs. I wont be logging those for awhile I guess :(

I'm happy for you and all but how the hell did Texas get snow before Canada?! :Big Laugh:

Lol it is very mild on the west coast. We live in a big rain forest here. It barely ever gets below 0 degrees Celsius.

Yup we all don't need sled dogs to and from the igloo to the snow-mall ;-)

Snowing steady here. Have to coordinate picking up the better half and the kids from school this afternoon as they both finish nearly the same time.

Had ice here in Iowa today. Wife's Acura RDX pulled out of the garage and stopped. I pulled out of the garage, put it in park, and slid down the driveway. I guess mine weighs a little more then hers. 4wd doesn't help you stop. Can't wait to get some real snow.

Were you not disappointed in the amount of "interference" the traction control provided?

I find that I can't do proper drifts even with the TC "off".

Guess I'll need that tuner...

I like your picture though! It makes me want a rallye hood for mine.

Ya TC sucks for drifting. With it turned off I have no problems at all, even in 4 lock I can drift nicely around corners.

Interesting....mine kicks in pretty early in 2wd.

I know you can hold it down for 10 secs in 4wd lock to turn it off even more than just pressing the button but I'm still not very happy with it.

I have mine turned off with the tuner. Its a one time deal though. As soon as you key cycle it turns back on. I have never had it off before today. I tried with just pressing the button and it still kicked in, not as much but I could still notice it.

I need a tuner for this reason also lol, with the button off I can spin as much as I want but as soon as I turn my wheels just a bit like when drifting it kicks in, sucks, I hate it, even when it kicks in in normal conditions I correct for whatever the truck is doing such as kicking out or whatever then the trucks tc kicks in to correct also and usually make the situation worse, I can see it being good to new drivers but I grew up driving in northern Ontario winters and learned how to drive and be in control and how to react on snow/ice and I hate tc lol

Thats exactly why I turn it off in the snow. It throws me off when im correcting my drift. Its almost more dangerous imo.

TC sucks. OFF should mean OFF. Stability control stays on. Can't slide the ass out too far before the brakes kick in automatically.
