Well...hopefully not but just in case I figured better safe than sorry. I was reading on another site about a rash of car fires lately so I figured I'd at least try to protect my junk if it goes up in flames.
It's a 2.5lb halon extinguisher which is much cleaner than the other option and I put it on a polished billet quick release mount.

Maybe not the best location but at least it's there. I'll build a much nicer stand for it when I have access to my shop again.

Nice extinguisher but at $165 I think I would just let the truck burn. Just dont release that stuff while still in the truck.

Yep you aren't even playing when you step up to halon. Neat but super dangerous stuff if you've never had training on it.

Put two of those in the bed of my truck mounted near the tailgate on either side and a third under hte back seat in the cab. have come across 3 car fires so far and there has been nothing i can do other than splash my gatorade or big gulp at it. now im all set and ready!

Fire extingushers are one of the top mods IMO

Those are very effective but like some have side, can be dangerous for yourself. Just make sure you're upwind, don't let it get around you, and you'll be fine. I get to play with the 150lb version of that...well I kinda hope I never have to play with it cause if I do...there goes a few million down the drain.
