First Mod for the 08 Ram

Well the first mod is now installed on my 2008 Ram Quad.

It was pretty straight forward so off to save up and think about the next one. Probably exhaust then tuner for the performance side of things.

Did an oil change while I was at it. It was nice to see the nice little oil divertor under the filter to keep the oil from running all down through the crossmember. I'll give that a :waytogo:

I really like the look of K&Ns, good deal.

Yeah this was the first time under this truck. 4.7l. Filter on drivers side toward the front and under it was a plastic ski jump looking thing bolted to the block. Worked great.

what i do is i put a funnel right under the oil filter. helps a little.
never heard of a oil diverter. got any pics of it?

Yea got any pics of this diverter, im interested. I always just place a quart baggie around the filter and unscrew it slowly.

was removing that plastic housing over the throttle body a pain in the ass? i have a Volant CAI for a Hemi sitting in my garage but it also works for my engine, would just like to remove the housing and tube it directly.

Damn a diverter would be nice...it will have to go on the "that will be useful...someday list"
