Fisher plow on a 2019 ram 1500 laramie , how has it held up ?

I am having a Fisher Homesteader snow plow mounted to my 2019 ram 1500 .
Would the crew that has done the same chime in on the goods and bads they have had .
Pics would be nice too .

I brought the truck to the company that installed it and when it was done .. just a fuse but the tech showed me were the fuses were and I was in the right mind and area just didn't want to mess things up by opening things i didn't know about . Plowed with out any other problems

They sure come in handy. When I lived in CA mountains I had a 6' Western snow plow installed on my then 3 year old 79 Scout ll. Never an issue.

You'll find these thing do require some attention from time to time

A few years ago I had to replace all the wiring on mine because it wouldn't make a good connection and simply not work

The plow has been working great and I am glad we installed it
The only thing I would do when it warms outside , is to give all the attachment points on the truck a thorough inspection.
Looking for anything cracked , bent , misshaped.
Just my paranoid mind.
I would check to be sure any fasteners remained tight, and a look at the wiring , to verify it stayed in place.

Or just your mind thinking about using a proactive approach and how much easier preventative maintenance is versus reactive repair work, after the damage has progressed. :cool:

I would not want to plow commercially with this plow. For my home and taking it easy it should last a bit longer.

What type of grease/ protective film do you put on the plastic plow connectors so they don’t stick to each other and stay pliable
