Just wanted to share a fix for a persistent misfire code on my 2003 Ram 4.7L.
I recently did a radiator R&R and spilled some coolant in the engine in the process.
Didn't think much about it thought it would just evaporate. Turns out some of it it leaked down into the #1 spark plug well. It was causing a short and a consistent misfire code. I cleaned out the cavity with paper towels, used electrical contact cleaner in the spark plug chamber of the coil, dried it out, and the code cleared immediately.
If you have a misfire after any cooling system work, pull your coils and check the wells for fluid before replacing parts!
