FOB damaged indication.

So I was planning on a grocery run when I can't get my Ram to start on account of a damaged key notification. Anyway to bypass this rediculious issue? Shiite has gotten to damn complicated for it's own good. Why can't these brilliant engineers Keep It Simple Stupid?

Try removing & reinserting the fob battery in the house away from the truck.

My key started doing that last week, too. I'm using my spare key for now until I can try the battery trick or take it to a locksmith and pay another frickin' $85 to get it flashed.
