Guys are usually block filling the BGE blocks once they get above 1200 horses, but most of them aren't using their toys as a daily driver once they're up to that level. Youtube is saying i'm using an addblocker so it won't let me see that video.First time i've ever ran into that one, lolCompletely agree! I am really surprised at the price of this. Wish I was made of money, I'd love to build a modern hot rod.
Don't think it's fair to call Tom's Durango a Durango. Partly tube chassis monster with a modern Hemi and a blower. It's pretty dang cool and weighs about 3800lbs if I remember correctly. His video today suggested that Hemi's are notorious for cracking blocks but I don't really know enough to join the conversation. Just love watching the drag and drive events him and his buddies do. And one of the only guys at his level that actually talk about Hemi engines so I think that is super cool!

This Burnout Broke My Hemi Durango
After a driving day at Death Week that was like a dream, the Hemi Durango has turned into a nightmare! We cruised the PCH, visited Isky Cams and saw a whole ...www.youtube.com
16 minutes in and 21 minutes in he mentions these engines are known for cracking pushing big power.
Not meant to throw shade on anything. Just interesting to see. Pushing big power breaks stuff. Love to see videos about it.
Youtube sucks sometimes. I have been a youtube premium subscriber since that service was available and as of December this year, that service goes away. So here come the ads for me too. **** THAT!Guys are usually block filling the BGE blocks once they get above 1200 horses, but most of them aren't using their toys as a daily driver once they're up to that level. The BGE stands for Big Gas Engine, and is cast into the truck 6.4's,the Hellcat 6.2's and all car 6.4's after 2018.It's generally a good block up till about 1600 rwhp if it's been filled with block fill.Basically block fill is like a cement that you pour into the water jackets to stiffen/stengthen the block, but that usually takes it out of the daily driver catagory unless you're running straight methanalol or alcohol for fuel. This article has alot of good info on the trucks BGE block, and is worth spending a few minutes reading through.Youtube sucks sometimes. Can you tell me what BGE block is? Not sure what that means.
This seems to be the latest update.Sounds like he had a used engine in it that had issues right from the get go.Completely agree! I am really surprised at the price of this. Wish I was made of money, I'd love to build a modern hot rod.

Isn't the block only filled like halfway up the cyls? I mean like there's still cooling going on right?...I remember years ago the guys here at the shop put one together like that for sum drag racing guy....GM block filled up to the bottom of the water pump holes in the front if I remember right.Guys are usually block filling the BGE blocks once they get above 1200 horses, but most of them aren't using their toys as a daily driver once they're up to that level.
Depending on power level and fuel, some are 1/2 fills,if running straight alcohol then a complete fillIsn't the block only filled like halfway up the cyls? Once you're past about 1200rwhp,you're usually past using it as a daily driver,it's more drag car then street car by then, lol. But that wouldn't be a daily driver would it? Complete fill I mean.
