For those with LEDs in your footwells...

How many LEDs do you need to really light it up well? I have a bunch of left over LEDs from an old computer case mod...36 of them to be exact...and I thought it would be nice to light up the footwells when the dome light is on. I don't want to go over board, but I want to be able to see it really well.

LEDs are extremely bright, one small strip will light up the footwells pretty well. If they're single LEDs, maybe 5-10.

I have a 12" strip and mine are perfect but I've blown a few bc they are cheap but it's still great light

These are just small strips from advanced auto or somewhere, I would say 4-5" and maybe 5 leds
The glow is enough to light up the foot wells pretty well also

I have 6 in each strip I got from Advance and they do great, they're red. I have them wired so they're on with my parking lights/headlights.

i also have a 12 inch strip on both sides that are blue... not sure how many leds it is, but IMO its a little too much. its pretty bright and even though theyre pointed down they still reflect up and from the outside of the truck you can see the blue pretty well, kinda worries me sometimes
