I tried this today. Took clamp off completely and drove truck with the lines loose. Still have the noise. I agree it seems to be the tranny lines though. I just put foam behind it now and I will see. But doubt it. So annoying I like my windows down. I’ve put truck in n while going through town and press gas like normal and the sound is gone. Put back in d and it’s there. So has to be tranny related. Tranny has been serviced. Noise was there before and after service. The hunt continues

could be MDS you are listening to. Turn it off at the column and you should be fine.

It’s not mds. I don’t have mds on 2500. I’m certain tranny cooler lines. I’m even thinking having braided SS ones made if it would quiet it done

That sux. I remove the bolt on mine and just zip-tied the lines to something above. Killed about 90% of the noise.

Yep. I’ve put insulation between the bracket and mount. its secure but loose and not rubbing anything. I was sooooo hoping that would take care of it. I’d like to drive with my windows down lol

My new 2013 was doing the same thing, so I just took the bolt out completely and installed a piece of foam in between the bracket and fan shroud. The noise is now gone. Here's a picture of mine.

Awesome thanks very much for the reply I'll check that out hopefully that was it but I also did actually find a video and the guy had to replace the idler pulley tensioner or the alternator and it took care of it and he actually drove it on the video it made exactly the same noise like a howling noise
