I have a 2003 ram 1500 2wd that the front end is 2 1/2 to 3 inches lower in the front.
Looking for the best way to level the truck.
Thanks in advance.

I have a 2017 V6 1500 that needs a 1.5 inch lift. 3 shops have told me it can't be done. Anyone able to help?

It can definitely be done. Just get a level/lift kit.

Do you have a 2wd too? You didnt say.
Yes. That seems to be the big problem. I imagine I could use stock Hemi springs to account for the extra weight, but I don't know for sure and I'm too old to do the work myself. I just got it aligned and new front tires and I guess I'll just live with it.
Thanks.

Well the 2wd’s can definitely be lifted, i just think options are much less compared to 4wd.

Im not up to snuff on 2wd’s, but from what i have read about in the past, maxtrack seems to be a quality company for them. Message nick@gotexhaust on here, he can get you all set up. Or quickshifter.

Also, if the 2wd’s are just a set of coil springs up front (not struts/coilovers like the 4wd), then there is absolutely nothing wrong with a small spacer on top of the coils. Sure, you dont gain any “performance” per-say, but it will ride the same as before and you can gain the exact amount of extra height you are looking to achieve. I added 1.5” spacers on my power wagon front coils just to level it up quickly on the cheap before i settled on an actual suspension upgrade…well, 10 years and 130k miles its still there ugh. Never had a single issue, and still running the original shocks too. Just make sure if you go several inches or more, you do any other necessary upgrades that may be required.

Thanks. I got some spacers I'm going to try. I'm not trying to lift the front past stock, just get back the amount it snagged when I added the Ranch Hand grill guard. Maybe at extra half inch to 1 inch would be fine.
I looked at the Maxtrac site and they didn't have any springs to fit the V6.

The v8 springs might be exactly what you need, assuming the v8 weighs more than the 6.

Sooo…might be perfect to handle the added weight of the brush guard, no?
Probably, but after the recent alignment it's riding about 3/4 inch higher. I have a pair of rubber spring spacers I'm going to install the first chance I get. If I can get another half inch, I'll be happy. On top of that, no one can tell me if the Hemi springs would actually fit.

Man, i would have to think they would fit just fine. Cant imagine they change anything suspension related aside from the springs to handle the added weight.

If you add a spacer eventually, plan on getting another alignment.

Lift coil springs or lift spacer. Ebay has plenty of options.

4th gen forum would be a better fit.

I posted in an existing thread on lifting. If it's not in the right place, it isn't my fault.
You drive a 2009 or newer, yes? Thats a 4th gen+. This post is for 3rd gen trucks, 2002 - 2008. No need to get snippy, just trying to help.

You'll have better luck in the below forum.
