front speakers not working

Not sure if the speakers are dead or if the wiring is messed up...
1999 Regular cab Base model Ram 1500. Any advice, would be helpful.

Yeah, but I want to move up to bigger speakers for the doors. Mainly because I had to cut up that grill thing in front of speaker to get to it, so gotta fill the void.

You cut the door panel up? Why didn't you pop the panel loose and do it that way?

I did pop it off, but I have manual windows so the handle didn't want to come off and just made the panel spin.
