Hi new to the forum. I have been looking at trucks for the better part of 3-4 months now and still can't make a decision. Used/New. high miles/low miles. 07 or newer, 06 or older. You name it I've looked at it. I've looked at GM/Ford/Dodge/Toyota I've checked out them all. Even going so far as considering an older high mile truck then with the money I save buying a used civic to drive around in. If I didn't hunt and fish so damn much I wouldn't even need a truck, but alas I do.

What's the general consensus on the 08s? I found an 08 quad cab 4x4 with a 5.7, the Big Horn package, navigation, infinity speakers, chrome steps, new tires, the whole 9 with 40k miles for 21.5k and a clean 1 owner carfax. NADA and edmunds both list this around 27k retail for this truck.

This seems like a good deal but I'm hoping to get some feedback. I have checked this one out a couple of times and the price has dropped from 24k a month or so ago. Prices have really started tanking on trucks in general the last 8 weeks with the gas prices going through the roof. Thanks

Welcome to the site!

If you feel the price is right, and it's in your budget I would say go for it. Its lower mileage, clean carfax, and it seems pretty loaded.

Seems like a really good deal to me. I have the same truck minus infinity and navigation. And she turned over 40k a few weeks ago.

Thats a great price. x 2 on the price drop due to gas prices, Thats when I picked mine up, the last time they spiked. Imo Dodge makes the best riding truck, period. Chevy makes the most versitle, Ford has a rugged side that I admire, and toyota's are good with an eggroll or two. Good luck on the decision, Hope too read more on this.

Thanks for the info guys, I'm going to go check it out and make an offer. Truthfully I'd probably take it for the 21.5 but if they take less I'm not going to argue with them.

One thing I noticed, or didn't notice, was that despite having the navigation system it does not seem to have an Aux input. At least I didn't see one. Is this the case on these models? If so is there a way to add it? I have employee discount at one of the big box stores but if I don't have to buy another radio that would be cool.

My '06 doesn't have an aux jack but I added a module (Scosche) behind the radio and used the DVD source. I drilled a hole in the cubbyhole above the radio (not Nav unit) to plug into my iPod. Problem is, it has had to be reset several times.

Sorry I never updated this thread. By the time I looked at the truck it was already sold. So I wound up buying a brand new 11. Thread is here.
