So quick and short I'm looking for a solution to replace the upper control arm mounts on my 08 1500.
Full story- the truck only has 122,*** on the clock because the P.O. never disconnected it from his camper and only drove it for trips. So the body is super clean and I'm wanting to keep it on the road ... However driving home Christmas the passenger side rearward upper control arm bracket decided to become Blue tooth enabled. I was able to get the truck home with no further damage however in the weeks since I've found there's no shops around Willing to repair "frame damage" while it's literally not the frame it's only the bracket that failed (yes I know they consider it part of the frame). So began the aftermarket search ... While it's been 15 years since I've done custom body work it seems that replacement brackets are no longer a thing unless it's a jeep. The truck is too clean to send to the junker but without a source to provide a replacement bracket I'm afraid it's fate is sealed. So Im hoping y'all know a source I've not explored. I have checked local yards for a donor and they are in worse shape than this one or not far from failing.

Well this is a very uncommon failure are you sure the rest of the frame is not rotted? Give it a good look near the gas tank/rear control arm area. The only way you will fix this is make your own piece or find something close weld it in. Or find someone parting out a truck TONS on facebook or a junk yard Cut theirs off and weld the used bracket on.

Yeah the bracket itself rusted but the frame is still in good shape despite surface rust in that area.
