Paid $600. All I can say is if you offroad dont do it lol. I only think it's worth it if you wash the car yourself because washing drying becomes easier. I didnt notice too much of a difference to be honest(most likely cuz the truck is brand new). I think those 600 should have gone towards wrapping my truck. And ceramic coating is not scratch proof lol

That is a great looking truck! Once (if) mine gets here I'm thinking of having the front wrapped....

I had the front wrapped and then everything ceramic coated. Didn't look much difference - but it is pretty darn easy to clean compared to my old one.

looks good, i would agree though that ceramic coat would be better for a pavement princess.

Great looking truck! I think you may have went into this with a few misconceptions. Brand new paint on a brand new truck already looks awesome, nothing is going to do much to improve that. That being said, I can tell a difference in my black truck. And if they told you it's scratch proof, they flat out lied. It is more scratch resistant, but nothing is scrath proof lol. The main benefits of ceramic coating is the longevity of it and the ease of maintenance. I coated my truck, drove it all week, went through 2 rainstorms, and it still didn't look bad at all. Dirt doesn't stick to it as much and water just flys off of it going down the road. I washed it for the first time last night and was amazed at how much easier it was drying it off with a leaf blower. It's like the water just runs away from the paint, it's crazy. I'm loving it.

I was thinking of getting my American Force polished wheels ceramic coated, but I heard that repairing scratches are almost impossible, and that I would have to remove the ceramic coating and have it redone. I'm assuming that would apply to the body as well. I think I would be too stressed out about getting a scratch that it wouldn't be worth it. I also drive on gravel roads occasionally.

I have ceramic coated all my vehicles. Took almost a week with my brand new 3500 dually. Because it is left outside i had to get at it in stages and plan the weather so it didn't rain. It will make washing easier and i generally spray the ceramic sprays you can purchase anywhere after i wash to keep a barrier. Since it is my first outside kept vehicle i just want to keep the black paint as coated as i can. Will be wool waxing this weekend, i live in Pittsburgh and you get rain or snow constantly.

You doing the wool wax and ceramic yourself? I'm interested in what products you use and how long the wool wax takes to apply. I want to do the underside of my new 1500 before the salt comes down.

$600 is rather cheap having a shop do it. Of course even cheaper if you do it yourself. I would of spent the money having the front wrapped first then ceramic coat over that. That’s how I did my previous 14 that lived on the road and made a huge difference keeping the paint looking great without the fear of constant rockchips from the many many hwy miles.

I just do sealant with wax on top, same results just doesn't last as long. I enjoy doing it though and keeping more money in my pocket so win win for me.

techniq is the ceramic coat you can actually purchase on amazon but if you search some forums you can make your own decision. I am going to attempt the wool wax project next weekend. I have all the tips, sprayers and i purchased the kit from woolwax. I will let you know.
