Was looking for thoughts on a power source for adding 4 small LED grill lights to my 18' Big Horn. I know in a perfect world power from the battery with a relay setup is the "best" way to do it. But seems a bit overkill considering the total wattage required. I'd also rather not run wire from the cab or compromise the power center under the hood with holes to pass wires through. I like to keep my wire runs short when possible.

These lights i would only want on with the parking/headlights. Not as DRL's. Would tapping into the headlight or parking light wiring behind one of the headlights be ok? I can't imagine the very minor added load would cause any issues with blowing a fuse or upsetting the TIPM. But with these trucks i can't say for certain, which is why i'm asking here.

Might depend on what year. But if u tap into your parking lights u should be ok as long as u don't delete the actual light.

Yeah, that was my plan. I can't imagine adding a few LED marker lights would fry the TIPM. Just wanted to make sure.

If they didn’t change things, the wiring for the passenger side marker light runs across the core support.
That’s where I tied in for the grill lights on my 2012. I only needed about 12” of wire to hook up my lights.

Maybe a fuse tap in the trailer tail lights fuse. That way you would not be splicing into any wires.

I tapped mine into the fog lights, that way if I didn’t want them on I could turn them off. I have since then wired to a switch with other lights.

Beautiful! What LED's did you use?. I have the same grill (except chrome) and was not sure which ones to use since attaching them looked tricky with the gill material.

That's a great idea. I'm still trying to find a good way to get wires out of the fuse box without compromising the watertight integrity.

Which thread? I couldn’t find it. I went to the Oznium website but wasn’t sure which ones you used
