So after sanding my garage walls with my dewalt orbital sander without gloves for 3 hours-ish about 6-7 days ago, the lower half of my hand is still numb. I have full feeling in my wrist, but the bottom of my palm pad (if that's what it's called and my pinkie finger and bottom half (yeah half, i know it's wierd) of my ring finger are still numb.

I've had pinched nerves and stuff like that before, but not a big area like this. Going to see the doc on friday if it's not better by then. Any ideas of what it could be? Any think pinched nerve or nerve damage? No pain or hot feeling, some tingling and pins and needles once in a while. Numb almost continually though.

I have an appointment for tomorrow. Read there's like three main nerves, two go to the thumb, index, middle and half of the ring finger. The other goes to the pinkie and other half of the ring finger, the ulnar nerve. They pinch at the elbow most commonly and sometimes at the wrist.

I dislocated my shoulder and pinched a nerve when it was popped back in
I lost feeling in my pinky and that side of my hand but I had feeling in the very tip of my pinky too
It was a long 2 months of smashing it after i had shoulder surgery before I had feeling back

No idea what it really was or how to fix it lol

With ulnar nerve blockage, they can do therapy and surgery.

Try sleeping with a towel wrapped around your arm at night to keep it straight.

Here is some stretches/exercises
Arm Curls

An arm curl can help ease the symptoms of ulnar nerve damage as well maintain proper function in your arm. Hold your arm out at your side with your elbow fully extended. Keep your hand relaxed and your palm facing up. Slowly curl your fingers and wrist inward towards your body. Hold this position for a few seconds. Reverse the process by straightening your fingers and wrist. Extend your wrist as far away from the body as possible. Then slowly bend your elbow, bringing your hand and forearm as close to your body as possible. Repeat one set of 10 repetitions.
Arm Turns

Hold your arm out at your side with your elbow fully extended and the palm side of your hand facing the ceiling. Curl your wrist and fingers as your turn your forearm to the right. Hold this position for five seconds. Then turn your forearm to the left and hold this position for five seconds. Relax and repeat 10 times. Feel a stretch in your forearm as you complete this exercise. This exercise helps promote the proper passing of your ulnar nerve at your elbow.
Finger Spreads

Finger spreads can help to maintain function and prevent the feeling of numbness and tingling in your fingers as the result of ulnar nerve damage. Rest your hand palm side up on a table with your fingers -- including your thumb -- touching each other. Spread your fingers as far apart as possible. Hold this position for five seconds, then slowly return to the starting position. Relax and repeat one set of 10 repetitions.
Finger Tip Touches

Finger tips touches help to keep your fingers active and moving following damage to your ulnar nerve. Sit at a table and place your elbow on the table so that you wrist and fingers are pointing up. Touch your thumb to your small finger. Hold this position for five seconds. Then touch the thumb to all the other fingers, one at a time and holding each position for five seconds. Complete of set of 10 repetitions.

Why is he your ex-doctor? Sounds like one of the best. I would go to him. Until he charged me $150 to tell me that.
