I think its pretty much one of the only things you can do for your truck next,, seeing as how you mostly got everything else done....I personally would ho with long tubes and generally the long tubes are better than shorties but right now the only one who makes long tubes for these trucks is ARH and their a little pricey about 1600 for the long tubes with cats and y. Pipe so atleast if you did do them you would not be having to get the magnaflow y pipe and you would also be getting high flow cats in the deal....Also i dont even know if they work on a 4x4 havnt heard much about those headers

In the mean time if that seems like to much cost maybe you can sell your 85mm tb and get a 87mm which may help a little bit especially sine you got all the supporting mods, also if you are running the diablo canned tunes i would give hemifever a call to write you a custom tune. I know his tunes have been proven to make more power than the canned diablo tunes

87mm TB is next on my list then I'm saving up for the LT headers, kinda sucks that they're almost double in price but they give better gains.

Long tubes will give more gain in the upper RPM's with a little torque loss down low where shortys will have better low end torque but suffer a bit higher up.
Picking the right ones will be dictated by how you plan to use the truck.

I put shortys on at first due to no tuning at the time...now that Diablo has tuning out for 2012's I'm considering a swap to long tubes when the blower goes on. I actually wanna kill the bottom torque a bit to help the trans live.

Well damn if I can get them for about a grand then might be getting some sooner than I thought. I could probably pull that off if I hold off on the TB and that carbon sport hood that's for sale in the classified section.
I plan on eventually getting a s/c so I hear the LTs are a better bet

Longtubes will actually show better gains at all rpms over shorties. Where people lose tq down low is if they go with bigger primaries and exhaust tubing behind the headers. If you go with the ARH 1 3/4 primary headers, you will see better gains down low as well. Chaney installed his without tuning and picked up alot of tq down low.

Had he gone with the 1 7/8 primaries, it would have lost power down low as his motor isnt moving enough air to justify tubing that big.

If you're enjoying them that's all that matters. Without before and after dyno though it's just your opinion.
Numbers don't lie....but we all wanna believe our hard earned money turned our trucks into a rocketship.

Hahaha all I see on the 3 forums I'm on is Hemifever.....I guess I've influenced alot of people after reading my thread because before then you would see his name in peoples sigs but not much talk about him in open threads....great guy to work with and definitely the man on getting the hemi's running at there best.

Just FYI that 0-60 on the trinity isn't really all that accurate.....My personal best on it was 5.18 that's with the gps vs the speedometer only off .7mph at 75mph on 22" wheels.

If you use this conversion calulator 1/8 to 0-60mph.....you will find out it's a better tool because there's no way I'm running a similar 0-60mph times with 17" Drs vs my 22" wheels

Wallace Racing -Calculate how fast your car goes 0 - 60 mph

my fastest 1/8 run was 8.827 at 78.37mph which equates to a 0-60mph in 5.17 secs....so yeah no way I'm running that on 22's on the street.

It's a shame they havnt worked out the 1-2 shifts... I have so much more room to make power with these headers... With your stall I'm sure its killing some time at the end...

By the time I'm running spray I hope they have it worked out.. I really need to adjust my speedo for the tires as well.

It's not the stall killing the power it's the shorter tires making me shift into 4th for the last 3-4 secs of the pass....If they get the shifts worked out I can shift at 6200rpms which should keep me in 3rd a bit longer and not shift into 4th as quick, which in turn will knock of at least a 1-2 tenths of my quarter. Nitrous is going on my truck regardless if the shifting gets worked out or not, I just won't force the rpms up (holding the shifter to the left) and just let the tranny do it's thing (put it in 4th and mash).... I just know once that shifting gets fixed I will be that much quicker.
