My understanding is the headliners are on the same channel as the rear doors. I'm assuming they are crossed over at some point since the rear doors are a full signal. Is that correct?
I am also wondering if anyone has tried a 2" or 2.5 midrange speaker like this Morel or Kappa? They are pricey, but it might be a worthwhile place to spend the money in that spot since they are so close to your head. I don't know if the crossover would cut out many of the Hz and make those worthless in that spot though. Beyond that does having "midrange" in that spot make sense acoustically?
Also, what happens if you add a crossover on a line that's already been crossedover? I notice many of the component packages with a 6.5 for the front door and a separate tweeter come with crossovers and some of them can be set to limit the db of the tweeter. This interests me since my jl gx302s in the dash already have plenty of treble.
