How did you run the wires to the headrests? Do you have to remove the seat-back?

I was an installer for 10+ years in various shops. actually cutting in monitors to the factory headrests is not difficult. the biggest downfall to doing it this way is when you buy the all in one units like talked about above the wire goes through the bar and into the seat. when you cut them in like you are talking about there is no way to do this so you just put a small hole in the top of the seat under the headrest. i usually did it right next to the post.

most what i call "good" monitors one with a shroud that holds the monitor.

Just undo the bottom of the seat back and you can pass a small rod trough to pull your wire. I tied my power in the driver accessory power point.
