Hello from NE Arkansas. Had a 1997 Ram and now I'm in the market for new 2025. Not sure about the 1500's V6 or the inline 6. Maybe looking at a 2500 with the 6.4L Hemi. I'm just here for advice and ideas. Be gentle.

The Pentastar V6 is a good engine despite the head/lifter failures on one side mostly (left I believe). I'd still own one, but not in a truck. It's a strong engine but struggles in a truck and Durango. I'd avoid the inline six for now. It needs fixes from everything I read. 2500 with 6.4 sounds good, or a 5.7 if you're comfortable with the E-torque. I've read mixed reviews.

I am definitely leaning more towards the 6.4L as I had a Hemi in my 97 and I loved it.

Just bought mine yesterday from Superior Dodge in Conway(no affiliation) and got a heck of a deal. '25 2500 Hemi 6.4L and I think they have one more.
