Hey guys,
Somewhat of a newbie here to trucks and wanted some input on a lift. I would like to get some different wheels and larger tires, very similar to the attached picture. Do you think I can achieve this same stance with a leveling body lift only? 3”, 4” ? I do realize from reading a few other post I will probably have to raise the exhaust in the rear.
I would love to get a nice 6” suspension lift but reality is this truck will probably never see off road use so just looking more for looks than anything. I am also looking to do a bunch of other mods at the same time so cost is definitely a factor as well.

And is it possible for me to install the body lift myself? I don’t really have anyone to help me. I am extremely mechanically inclined and do all my own work anyway, just never done a lift of any kind before.

IS there a kit that lifts and levels in one or do I have to buy 2 different kits? I am looking for an aggressive stance so I would be ok with a little bit of squat in the rear too, ,but at least definitely level.

If this will get me what I want are there any recommendations on a good kit?

Thanks!

What size wheels/tires you lookin to throw on it? Those decisions decide a lot.

I've got the set up you're looking for!lol. I put a 2" front level with a 1.5" rear level. Then added a 3" body lift for a total of 5". Yes you'll need to have the exhaust raised but that's not expensive. I had some extra fab work done along with a custom bumper mount to accommodate my 12" long 5" tips. It cost me $200 for the work and my exhaust looks great! I also put front gap guards on (you'll need them) and they were $100.

All in I paid right around $2000 for all the parts and labour. If I could do it over I'd pay the extra $1000 and get a suspension lift, but my way had its benefits too!

Here are some pics. I'm running 35" duratracs on stock 20's and 1.5" wheel adaptors.

Your truck looks great, maybe just a tad higher than I am going for but I wouldnt be opposed to that much height.

The wheels and tires in that picture are Fuel Drillers, 20 x 12 and the tires are 35" x 12.5" and I really like that look, so I would like to do that same size.

You could always go with the 1.5" body lift so you'd be sitting at 3.5" of lift!
