anyways i do have a question. sam i read in another sidewinder thread on dt, that the guy said his fan was bearing was going out or something. u thought it was the clutch fan and said its not supposed to sit flat rather stand up like it was installed when u take it out. pretty sure mine was just sitting on the ground. could this have messed it up and causing some issues?

No, if it was messed up it would just not cool like it should, wouldn't affect how the motor runs. Actually I'm not sure if there was some clutch fan change over because I think in 06'(?) they stated it should be stored either facing up or down only, forget which but it's stamped on the fan. The earlier ones were supposed to be stored in the upright position.

Don't pull the 180 til you have a wide band in there to see what its actually doing while driving and at WOT.

Agreed... with the cam and those headers your gonna need to richen it up. What fuel and SC tune are you using?

You haven't changed anything since the last reset have you? If not I would leave it.

Does the superchips have any way to data log KR if so, do a log for that as well...

Also when you were messing with the egr, is the hose that connects it to just behind the TB nice an snug? No leakes there? You would have had to remove it do the the valve covers and replace the egr... might want to check it and make sure its on right

didnt remove it when we put the valves on and didnt take it off when i took of the egr. its nice and tight when i put everything back on...

i dont think sc does kr

Hmmm... That line is right over the valve covers I would have thought that it would have had to be taken off to get them off to make it easier... Alright well if its nice snug I guess no worries there.... Have you gone back under and retorqued the header bolts? no leakes or anything there? O2's are nice and tight in there? No rubbing issues or clearance issues or leakes either?

Holy **** I cant believe the valve cover will clear the EGR tube... We always just pulled it off.

it was a *****. and i did it twice but actually had more problems with the wire harness on the back than the tube..

retorquing the header bolts tomorrow morning ill check all the welds too

Just for ***** and giggles.... take that tube off the TB and check it out, just make sure you guys didn't dent it or anything that would block the flow/put a hole in it (i know it be tough to do but still) or pull up on the connection at the TB causing a leak. Its real easy to pull off and if it was bumped hard enough while you guys ere getting the covers off it could have cracked the plastic intake its mounted on. Wont hurt to check.

It is tight but you can do it without taking it off.
