Good morning or evening everyone!
I need some help, and questions to be answered.

Right now, i'm rocking 285/70r17's on my truck, no issues at all with them, no rubbing, nothing. They're a great size for the truck.

But, I want bigger.

I want to get 315/70r17's Goodyear Duratrac's on my truck.

Will I need to put 1/4 inch Wheel Spacers?
Will I need to replace the studs when I put on the Wheel Spacers?

Or

Put on 1.5 Inch Adapters and trim the original stud so it's flush?

Questions to be answered would be great!
Or.
Make Suggestions to me, that would be great!

Thank you Everyone.

I don't think you will "have" to install wheel spacers, but if you don't they will rub the control arms at full steering lock.

That's a 12.7" wide x 34.4" tire, and needs a 9" wide rim

1/4" Wheel spacers won't be enough to clear a tire that wide
1"+ Adapters would be better, but still does not address rim width.

Bottom line....You need new wheels, wider (8.5" minimum) with less offset
and you should probably have a lift of some sort as well.

and just to be clear,
the side wall contacts the upper A arm on wide tires at the top of the spindle
whether the tire is straight or turned to full lock does not matter.
The distance is constant the ball joint is the point the tire turns around.

Saying the tire hits the control arm at full lock makes no sense
It's only the sway bar clearance that changes as the steering is cycled fully left/right)
