I'm a real nubie, especially to this wheel, tire and level/lift game. Haha. When I first started looking for wheels (before I found this forum) I went on www.wheel-size.com it told me what my stock wheel offset and everything was.

I checked on line, forgive me if I am being a "i googled it you are wrong", but the offset looks to be the same both at +19. But would that mean that the 8" ones are actually 1/2" closer? I hope I have the 9's guess I will need to measure, or are they marked somewhere. lol gotta love us nubies

It is different because the width of the wheels are different and the offset is a measurement from the centerline of the wheel to the mounting face. So roughly the backspacing on the 20x9 is 5.75 and 5.25 on the 20x8 which yes the back side of the 20x9 wheel will be 1/2" closer to the upper control arm than the 20x8.

Hope that makes sense

It all depends on the tire choice. I have 35x12.50 cooper st maxx on my factory 20x8s and have no rubbing anywhere. The st maxx don't measure true though, they are actually really small for a 35x12.50. I bought 1/4" spacers just to have on hand when I did the install. Ended up not needing them.

When I did my leveling kit, I literally bought the supreme suspension combo kit and the normal 2.5" rough country front level. Turns out I used the supreme suspension one, it was its better quality all around. So it never hurts to have the spacers just incase! A lot of places allow you to return if you don't need/not satisfied. [emoji3]

20x8's give the extra clearance at the the uca to fit 12.5 wide tires.
