Hi all,

I am new to the forum and new to the 3500. Last week I found a 2017 3500 Laramie with the 6.7 and Aisen tranny with only 11900 miles. I have owned duramax’s before but this is my first experience with Ram and Cummins (Other than the Cummins in our motor home) I am fed up with GMC/GM so here I am!

I would appreciate any information or tips of possible trouble areas to look out for!

Thanks

Mark

Hey Livin. Aisin is more or less a Toyota transmission. It is the better, more expensive transmission. Sugarpuss has 300,000 miles on her Cellica; the transmission has never been touched.

I drove a Package Car, UPS truck to the rest of the world, with the Cummins in it. We put 460,000 HARD miles on that engine. They replaced the Cummins because it had an oil leak between it and the transmission (an Eaton 5 speed manual, the world's greatest manual transmission, lol) The engine was still running strong, and I was mad because I wanted to put a million miles on that thing.

The Ram interior is nicer than a Chevy. It'll ride nicer.

Buy the truck post pics. I'll be jealous!
